What is Your Role?
Rebuilding our country's unions is the single best way to correct the imbalance of power that favors corporations and the rich over working people.
As long as employers can exploit unrepresented workers in other plants, offices, worksites and countries, we will be vulnerable to downsizing, concessions and demands and the export of our jobs.
Until we can show growing strength through growing numbers of union members, workers' needs will be ignored by management and government alike.
Helping organize others is not the only good for them as workers, but it also benefits you, the union member.
A bigger and stronger union can win better contracts and better laws for all of us.
When our members grows, our strength increases. When we unite, we have the power we need to see that the needs of the working people are not ignored.
